at Fintry to play in a fourteen team Tournament... East Kilbride have won it the past two years and were pitched in a pool with Hillfoots and Helensburgh ..The boys played Helensburgh and won 7...1 and with tries spread around the team with Euan Ferrie , Ewan Ross Jamie Robb
, Liam Madden Lewis Brown , Matthew Brown and Jack Whitla the game was very comfortable victory with the two new "Camerons " and Ryan all getting game time.. Hillfoots were beaten 5..2 with Jamie Robb Lewis Brown Fraser Jackson (2 ) Liam Madden getting the job done...onto the semi final , EK had to play old rivals Glasgow Accies in the semi final and Coach ferrie stuck with experience and they were despatched 5...1
with Lewis Brown (2 ) Matthew Brown (2) and Euan Ferrie getting the vital tries... So Ek were to face Birkmyre in the final and the P6s put in a stirling performance and played the first half in the opposition half but could not cross the line and as luck would have it Birkmyre scored on the break and Ek went down 1..0 at half time..The boys
again were camped in the Birkmyre half and Birkmyre defended superbly
and held out to win 1..0 .. A great game of rugby Their Coach Paddy
proclaimed it was the " Luck of the Irish " which was a nice compliment to our team.. Who he said were great opposition and very evenly matched..and played with great sportsmanship...
