U18s get new Conference season off with a win

The 18's kicked off the Brown conference season with a tough away trip to Livingston . On a glorious day for rugby the boys quickly set about their business.

The first try was scored by winger Callum Connelly-Tennock who raced in after a fine backs move. The next try was scored by Ethan Aitken, following a fantastic midfield move started by Harry Taggart.

EK continued their dominance in the scrum and lineout which led to the best score of the match from Garry Speedie. Forwards and backs combined to put the back rower over in the corner. The pressure was relentless on Livingston and Ethan Aitken scored his second, capitalising on their mistake. 2 conversions from Ethan made the half time score 0-24.

Unfortunately the second half was a more disappointing performance . Too many mistakes and penalties let the opposition back into the game. Two soft tries gives us plenty to work on for next week but two good scores from captain Connor Wilson and prop Anellio Scellio rounded off a convincing victory.

A solid start to the season against a good side , with all 22 players getting plenty of game time.
