EK 2nds held to draw at Cumbernauld

EK 2nds snatched a late draw from a plucky Cumbernauld side in Cumbernauld on Saturday. Both sides had two tries and a conversion; EK's scorers were Sparky Ellison and Alasdair Donaldson (must have got a Satnav to help him find his way back to the club. Let's hope he is not using a hire car), with the conversion by Bert Blackwood. The home side made better use of the conditions, and used their old forwards to good effect. EK's secret weapon of three Blackwoods in the same side did not seem to work, although the home team's catering department were put on triple time to provide sufficient nosh for the gastronomic clan.

Next week (3 April), the 2nds are at Marr (Troon) with a 3 pm kick off.
