EK 2s got a match on Saturday, at home as the earlier fixture was at Marr. EK were short of bodies at the start due to various call offs, so the league points were conceded. However, both sides wanted a game so they started with 13 men aside.
EK eventually got up to 15 as others turned up. This included Dean (I am 52) Marriott who had thought he had retired, and John Watson who many find it hard to believe he is only 51. Also in the mix was youngster Chris Mullins.
They tried hard against an experienced Marr side but just came up short.
Let's hope they can field a full team from the outset next week, at home to Allan Glens.
