2s get new season off to a flier

EK 2s had a hugely encouraging, and comprehensive, victory at Whitecraigs to launch themselves in Reserve West Region Division 2.

With a pool of some 19 players, the memories and scars of scratching around for fifteen bodies were almost forgotten by Bruce Beggans. Long may it continue.

While down 12-10 at half time, EK scored a magnificent six tries - none converted. Scorers were Ross Campbell two, Calum Aitken, Stewart Ferguson, Roddy Beaton, Graeme (what does retirement mean again?) Blackwood. Some pretty experienced campaigners here.

My sources advise me that the best players on the day (in order) were Chris Quinn, Calum Aitken and Stewar Ferguson. But well done to everyone for this superb result. Do continue to come training and "keep winning".
