Another stomping win for the 2s

No match report as Bruce thinks I am telepathic. And Patrick (please, please stop mentioning me in match reports - everyone gives me stick!) Quigg also provided no detail when he dropped by for a bbq yesterday. What has happened to our large band of roving reporters? Or is it is a small band of large reporters...............Bruce.....??

It seems that Cumnock had got wind of the manoeuvrability of our President Peter Hagerty, from last week's match report and photographs, and thought they had better select someone to match his movements. Sources suggest that their secret weapon was at least 65 years old. With only one match left for the 2s next week, what secret weapon will Irvine deploy to counter Mr Hagerty's legendary skills?

Try scorers were: Gregor (please don't associate me with that old guy on the wing) Hagerty 2; and solos for: Roddy Beaton, Paul Rosie, Ross (my mum missed it despite taking 197 photos of me!) Campbell, Eddie Beaton, Andrew MacDonald, Calum Blackwood and one penalty try.

Next week: the 2s have their final league match at home to Irvine. EK lost to Irvine on a dark Friday night in Ayrshire some months ago. The rumours were that Irvine put out their 1st XV. Shurely not - they would not stoop to such depths? Might they do the same again this weekend? The only way to find out is to turn up and watch.

This has been a superb season for the 2s, with only two defeats. Why not turn up to cheer them on in their final match? And consume a wee refreshment in honour of their achievements in the clubhouse afterwards..................all welcome.
