The 1st XV play their last match of the season against new town and old rivals, Irvine, in Irvine on Saturday with a 3pm kick off. If EK win they will finish in 6th position in the league. If Irvine win, they will leapfrog us to claim 7th with EK slipping to 8th.
The good news is that Ally Dalgeish's red card from last week has been withdrawn as the referee admitted he should have only been yellow carded so Ally is free to play (if he can wangle time off work through a change of shift).
Come and see if Ian Brown can add to his try tally - he ONLY has 23 so far. One try for each year of his life (he is actually not 23 until 26 April). With such a paltry try total, how could he possibly be nominated for the EK Sports Council's Adult Sports Personality of the Year? Must be some madman out there who nominated him. For information, the rest of the team have only scored 28 tries between them!
All support welcome.
There is one other match to complete the National 3 league series - Dalziel host Hawick YM. The winner will avoid relegation. May the best team win (although it is much easier to get to Dalziel for a match).
