All folks welcome - you don't need to be a rugby club member; friends relatives and others welcome!! Ladies also welcome (the days of old fashioned Stag Dinners are long gone.......)

In addition it is the Wombles weekend!!!! A group of former EKRFC players, known collectively as the Strathaven Mob and led by the inimitable Wee Womble (Bill McLean) and Big Womble (Willie Neilson) are gathering in EK on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 October.

They are coming to the Stag Dinner so what a great chance to talk about old times. Others attending include George (Hovis) Brown, Jim Bryson, Brian (Biggles) Biggins and we believe Mr Modesty himself, George Inch.

If you can't make the Stag Dinner, let me know if you are free to join the Wombles for a drink on the Friday evening. They have still to confirm the Friday night venue - they may agree to come to the rugby club as they are all staying in the Crutherland Hotel. Let me know if you will come along so that I can share more news about their plans in due course.
